The Art of Dying

15 February, 2025 16 February, 2025

The Art of Dying Weekend Retreat

With Foca Yariv, at Amrita Integral Yoga Centre

Throughout history, every ancient spiritual tradition has placed great importance on understanding Death. But why are we so fascinated by this mysterious moment? What is hidden in the inevitable event that ends our lives as we know it? According to the wise, dying is a sacred initiation—an entry into the secret of life itself.

In this powerful workshop with Foca Yariv, we’ll explore death not as an ending, but as a gateway to deeper spiritual awareness. You’ll gain profound insights on how contemplating death can transform how we live and open the door to realising the eternal.

Topics we’ll cover
  • Spiritual perspectives of death in different cultures
  • The importance of contemplating death
  • Understanding the ephemeral and the eternal
  • What reincarnates and what doesn’t
  • Insights from near-death experiences
  • Rites of passage – death as a way of welcoming the new
  • Helping those who are dying
  • Preparing for your own inevitable death
  • The art of dying as the art of living
  • Kaya Kalpa – meditation in darkness
  • Meditations related to death
